Today is opening day of our new special exhibition, "Reimagining Nature: Dalí's Floral Fantasies." 🌷 Dalí once said, "The true painter must be able, with the most usual things to have the most unusual ideas." This exhibition presents three rarely displayed botanical print suites made by Dalí between 1968 and 1972, highlighting some of the most treasured works on paper in the Museum's permanent collection. On display together at the Museum for the first time in two decades, these prints showcase the power of transformation as Dalí reimagined traditional 18th and 19th century illustrations of fruits and flowers into surreal creations at the height of the Pop era. I still remember my visit to the The Dalí Museum a few years ago! It was a great experience and hope I can visit again as a fellow surrealist lover :)
