Shine bright like a Dalí jewel ✨ Created by the artist in the late 1940s and early 1950s, these astonishing pieces were inspired by the themes and myths that obsessed him, transcribed into gold and precious stones. Dalí’s interest in designing jewelry dates back to January 1939, when he published an article in Vogue, “First Prophecy on Jewels.“ By 1941, Dalí began creating jewels with the Italian jeweler Fulco di Verdura, followed by a multi-decade relationship designing jewels with Carlos Alemany at the firm Alemany & Ertman out of the St. Regis Hotel in New York. See these and more jewels purchased by Museum Benefactors Eleanor and Reynolds Morse now on display at The Dalí Museum. #TheDali #SalvadorDali #Jewels 1: "Persistence of Memory" (1949).
