If you want to minimize no-shows and draw in more attendees, here are 3 principles that work like a charm: 👉 Content is currency Although not every event is content-focused, your attendees expect some level of relevant information they won't get anywhere else. Include hands-on and engaging workshops so your attendees can walk away with tangible learnings. 👉 Tier-based is better than free Free events typically have a higher number of no-shows. So opt for allowing your attendees to choose their knowledge-sharing and networking path based on their budget. This is especially helpful if you're experimenting with a new topic, market, format, etc. 👉 Attendee experience is a longer journey Don't get caught up in the event's planning, and forget about all the other touchpoints your attendees have with you before and after the event. Map out your attendee journey to ensure a consistent and smooth experience across the board. And then identify what kind of technology will support that journey.
