We're excited to launch our new work with RSPB, created with BAFTA winning Blue Zoo Animation Studio. The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world, with one in six native British species at risk of extinction. This campaign aims to raise awareness of the urgent need for nature to be protected and restored. Our new government seeks to "return to the politics of public service" - a sentiment that motivates many of us in the charity sector and many of our donors. Today, across the UK voters will head to the polls as the 2024 General Election begins. However in the last General Election, only 13% of blind and partially sighted people felt they could vote independently and in secret. Our latest work with RNIB calls for everyone to have the right to vote in secret. It was created in response to the insight that most blind and partially sighted people have to be assisted by a companion or polling staff member to read or mark their vote on the ballot paper, which can leave voters feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable. 🗳️ More in Campaign UK here: https://lnkd.in/ejhmNZEg

The right to vote in secret was established over 150 years ago, yet this right is still not afforded to many blind and partially sighted people. In the 2019 General Election, only 13% of blind and partially sighted people felt they could vote independently and in secret. Our latest work with RNIB has been created in response to the insight that most blind and partially sighted people have to be assisted by a companion or polling staff member to read or mark their vote on the ballot paper, which can leave voters feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable.
