When you are used to uplifting others, it can be easy to forget how to uplift yourself. A career transition requires that you are able to uplift your impact. Often we are great at sharing the contributions of others but struggle to share our own. Organizations want to hire people who know and can name their own impact. Why? Because organizations know that a person who believes in their ability to succeed will push beyond barriers in order to reach a goal. This is especially important if you are looking to move into a new sector or field. You have succeeded in so many ways! Take a moment to write down YOUR two most impactful contributions to your field, society or community in the last three years. Be sure to tell it all! Don't minimize how you have contributed.
