Billions worldwide suffer from poor access to safe water, a leading risk factor for infectious diseases like cholera, diarrhea, dysentery etc. Uravu Labs, a pioneering venture in Bengaluru, aims to tackle this massive challenge by developing technology that can, quite literally, extract clean water from the air. Founded in 2019 by Swapnil Shrivastav, Venkatesh RY, Pardeep Garg, and BALAJI GB, Uravu Labs uses innovative methods involving desiccants and devices powered by 100% renewable energy to extract water. Despite soaring temperatures in Indian cities, Uravu Labs continues to produce nearly 4000 liters of water daily without depleting groundwater, lakes, or rivers. Navkaran Singh Bagga, CEO of Akvo, pens an article for Bizz Buzz (by The Hans India). The coverage highlights India's potential to lead global water management innovation through the adoption of AWG technology. "Many forward-thinking corporates are early adopters of AWG technology, utilizing it to meet their sustainability goals while also curbing costs on drinking water for their workforce." As traditional water sources like groundwater and rivers become increasingly unreliable due to urbanization and climate change, AWG offers a promising alternative. This technology extracts potable water directly from the air, providing a clean, sustainable solution that helps businesses and communities be water independent. 🌱 Excited to share my experience at the Bengaluru Eco Summit held at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore! I had the privilege of presenting a poster on "Hydrogels in Agriculture." This opportunity not only allowed me to share my research but also to gain invaluable insights and feedback from experts in the field. Organized by Haritvam - a Greener You, in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainable Technologies (CST) and the Students’ Council, IISc, this event brought together passionate individuals dedicated to fostering a greener future. Haritvam’s mission to engage young minds in eco-consciousness truly resonated with me, and it was inspiring to see so many like-minded individuals discussing actionable solutions for environmental challenges. The panels covered critical topics such as: Clean Energy, Clean Water, Clean City Ancient India’s Approach to Sustainability Forest Conservation and the Role of Tribal Communities These discussions underscored the importance of integrating sustainable practices into our rapidly growing urban environments. Kudos to Haritvam, CST, and the IISc Students' Council for organizing such a thought-provoking and impactful event. Together, we can drive the paradigm shift towards a more sustainable future. #EcoSummit #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #GreenFuture #HydrogelsInAgriculture #IISc #Haritvam #SustainableTechnologies #EnvironmentalConservation #Bengaluru

we featured in WASH POST for their March 24 edition for our Aryav Atmospheric Water Generating machine. we believe that AWG is the solution of all the water related problems. Facts which we knows are as - India is home of only 4% fresh water, with 18% world population. - India ranks 120/122 in water quality Index. - 2 in 5 Indian face acute water shortage. - The Water Crisis could cost India 6% of its GDP by 2050. - people are migrating because of lack of water and more than 35m people don't have access of water in India. AWG is one of the solution for the above terror numbers and now is the time to Act and ACT FAST. We thank WASH and ASCI to recognize our efforts and featured us in their latest edition. we continuously work towards society and contribute to solve this problem. Implementing smart climate actions that boost rural livelihoods is crucial. Skillful management of bioresources and biodiversity in rural areas can seamlessly align with effective climate action. We're proud to share our success in empowering small farmers engaged in dry red chili cultivation in an aspirational district of Tamil Nadu. The emphasis was on honing skills in bio-resource management, utilizing abundant rural bio resources through the energy-efficient transformation facilitated by Eisenia earthworms. Heartfelt gratitude to Vellore Institute of Technology , Department of Biotechnology, India, for their support in our journey towards a circular bio economy, contributing to enhanced soil health. 🌱 #SustainableAgriculture #VermicompostTraining #climateaction #bioeconomy #catalyst
