There are a lot of very talented and highly experienced people looking for new roles. So many hiring managers are looking for the perfect person. Many companies promote within even though someone may not be fully ready, but its a chance to promote self development and growth. More need to keep that in mind when hiring externally. Someone who checks all the boxes, has done the job and knows everything, may be less motivated than someone who's curious, eager and has room to grow into the position. What's not on the resume, the soft skills and intangibles are just as important as what's on the resume. #opentowork

Working at Red Bull gave me a front row seat to a masterclass in building brand exclusivity and value. Our approach didn’t just elevate the brand–it defined it, creating a larger than life aura that drew in thrill-seeking athletes, exhausted college students, and a broader consumer market into a sphere of prestige, aspiration, and high-energy. Exclusivity remains a strategic cornerstone that continues to amplify Red Bull's value and desirability. Maintaining an elite brand image is no walk in the park. Red Bull was faced with the task of enforcing strict brand guidelines across every touchpoint and until they acquired a soccer team, the only people in the world they would allow to wear their iconic “Bull and Suns” logo were street teams and sponsored athletes. Balancing sponsorships and partnerships to avoid brand dilution required relentless effort and precision. Red Bull's response to these challenges was a valuable lesson in brand management. They instituted rigorous training programs and communication strategies to ensure every stakeholder, from the street team to the boardroom, was aligned with their brand ethos. Continuous monitoring and enforcement were pivotal in sustaining their brand’s consistency and exclusivity, even and especially when it was hard to do so We scrutinized every partnership and sponsorship decision, ensuring it aligned with our values. Was it all worth it? You bet your wiiings it was. Red Bull has managed to carve out a place for itself in culture that’s lasted over 20 years and is now the #3 most consumed soda beverages in the world, ahead of Pepsi and behind Coke and Diet Coke respectively! From skating down mountains of ice, to jumping out of a spaceship and landing safely on earth, Red Bull’s journey is a reminder of the power of strategic exclusivity in building a world-class brand. Have you ever seen a brand’s exclusivity policy backfire? What happened? 🤔 #BrandManagement #MarketingStrategy #BrandExclusivity #RedBull #MarketingInsights #BrandLoyalty

Guess what happened today that totally blew my mind? So, I was just going about my business at work when I turned around to help a customer, and guess who it was? Jessica from my White House | Black Market days! Talk about a blast from the past! It was such a pleasant surprise to see her, and as we caught up, it got me thinking about our time at WHBM. You know, it struck me that a lot of people know how much I love visuals, and Jessica played a huge role in igniting that passion in me. She was the one who really introduced me to the whole visual space thing. Thanks to her influence, I was able to make a smooth transition from working on visuals at WHBM to doing the same at Victoria’s Secret, all while excelling in sales. And let's not forget my stint as the Merchandise Team Leader at Aerie before landing the gig as Store Manager. Jessica was like the spark that set off this whole exciting journey of exploring how far I could take my merchandising skills and sales prowess. It's funny how these little chance encounters can make you reflect on how far you've come, right? It's moments like these that make me appreciate the journey and the people who have been a part of it. Who would've thought a regular day at work could turn into a trip down memory lane and a reminder of the impact someone can have on your life and career? 💚 #AerieReal #Growth

According to Fortune Nike has laid off over 700 employees from their corporate office. What should you do if your company is going through layoffs? 1. Get very clear on your vision for the future. 2. Create a profile of the ideal company for you. 3. Be very intentional about the people in your network you decide to meet with. 4. Let your network know exactly what you're looking for. 5. Be confident and not desperate. Qwerkz,Inc

'Sports Illustrated’ publisher 'The Arena Group’ became the bearer of bad news for the magazine staff on Friday as it opened up about planning to lay them off — at least that’s what an email to 'Front Office Sports’ confirms. The shakeup within a 7 decades old sports magazine came as a shocker for the staff, following Arena’s $3.75M agreement breach — failure to make a licensing payment to Authentic Brands Group. SI’s union that safeguards employment rights of its 70 members looked up to ABG for a definitive resolve as a reaction to the layoff plans; plea to "ensure the continued publication of Sports Illustrated”. Five years back, ABG purchased SI from Meredith Corporation, and has now resorted to a series of layoffs in the wake of magazine’s reluctance to embrace online media. This past December, Ross Levinsohn (CEO) was terminated by Arena for publishing AI-generated articles. Offer what no one else can. (Also some further work with Nike x Haaland) My background in maths and engineering is the reason why I perform well in what I do. The creative industry is flooded with talent. When I moved here my dream was to become a director. I quickly realised that on the top level, I aspired to be part of, the industry was full of people who: - had an established network - had more experience than I had - grew up with better influences than I did - were simply better at coming up with creative ideas than myself I sat down, shut my ego, and looked at my strengths over everyone in the industry: - A better understanding of technology, innovation, and numbers through my educational background - Better at communicating with people and leading them towards a desired result through my years of working in hospitality So, I pivoted. I started working in production. And I never looked back. The point is: Always play to your strengths. The creative world might be a team sport but the reality is that only a certain amount of players are needed for each position. Find the one where you’ve a clear advantage over others, to establish yourself. P.S. You can be competitive and kind at the same time. 📌 Thanks to Rosco Productions for having me.

Employers seem obsessed with hiring the perfect candidate which could mean there’s no growth opportunity for the new starter leading to dissatisfaction. Look for positivity, creativity, drive, ambition and hunger. Look for transferable skills which can bring a new perspective. Knowledge can be learnt. Skills can be taught. Hiring the right attitude is what should matter the most.

Hire the person who wants to come to work and be proud to be there. Hire the person who has the wherewithal to use spell check than someone who can type 50 words per minute. Hire the person with a reasonable salary for the skills that they have. No employee that can type 50 wpm and know all the software and give great customer service won't accept 16 dollars an hour and a poor work culture. Treat your employees better than you treat your customers. The employee is your best customer. Once businesses can figure that out; productivity will be better.

I can't agree more. So many organizations and respective companies are always betting on professionals with experience. Why not give fresh graduates a chance? I simply donot understand the logic behind this. Until unless they are given a chance how are they expected to gain relevant experience? Sadly, universities in Pakistan have started introducing new fields to the youth but whats the use of it? Not many young and fresh graduates are given a chance here. And because of this sole reason I believe the development and growth of our industries is extremely slow. If our youth is given a chance in their respective fields and they end up gaining experience its only beneficial for the organizations over here. Its high time organizations realise this and change their mindsets about the same. Also another commonly faced issue with the organizations here is that they donot give feedbacks to their applicants in terms of giving them an explanation as to why they were not selected which I think is such a disappointment and is extremely discouraging for the youth. If they cannot give an explanation atleast politely decline the role to them so that particular individual could have a closure and they know that they simply did not make the cut. Rather applicants here are left hanging to figure out themselves a month later that they were simply not good enough just because they lack experience. Please give our youth a chance, I am sure having more experienced individuals in the industry is better than having a few experienced individuals.
