Wayne with Wayne! Interestingly, the featured Steel Cow print for this year, the striking Hampshire, holds a special significance—it's named after Wayne Maschhoff. Unveiled exclusively for this year's World Pork Expo, the third and final pig painting of the Steel Cow series, crafted by the talented Iowa artist Valerie Miller of Steel Cow. Wayne Maschhoff, now a vibrant 92-year-old and still active in agriculture, was one of the original members of the Moline 90. In May 1966, Wayne and 89 of his colleagues gathered in Moline, IL, to develop strategies for advancing the pork industry, a historic meeting that became known as the Moline 90. Wayne was honored as the Illinois Pork All American in 1971 and named Illinois Master Farmer in 1975.

It would have been an honor to hand this portrait to you in person Wayne. Thank you for the leadership and vision that you and the rest of the Moline 90 had back in 1966. Your focus on doing what's best for the industry is an great example for all of us.
