The Massachusetts unemployment rate in May remained below the national average, and the preliminary labor force increased by 13,600. Over the month, the Leisure and Hospitality sector gained 2,900, the Education and Health Services sector gained 2,500 jobs, and Construction sector gained 1,400 jobs. The total number of non-farm jobs in Massachusetts is estimated at 3,733,900.
