Purpose in the Workplace Important? The MBA Answer: “It Depends” A client that I’m working with has 10 years of Account Management experience in the #tobacco industry. The Job: ✔️ Pays the bills ✔️ Great benefits ✔️ Company vehicle ✔️ Innovative new products The Work: ❌ Promotes and markets tobacco products. ❌ Maneuvers through a difficult regulatory landscape. ❌ Responsible for growing a sales territory in a DECLINING market. ❌ Reflects daily about the ethical aspects of promoting potentially harmful products. The Question: As you think through the responsibilities of a Tobacco Sales Representative, do you feel his 8-hour workdays have a POSITIVE or NEGATIVE purpose❓ This could be controversial.
