Co-founder of Global Vision 2030 WLFIFA | Battlefields2Sportsfields - Author of "KNOw Woman KNOw Peace" featured on PBS. Women’s Hegemony is an Emancipating Transformation.
In times past, women were seen as bridges for men to cross in pursuit of their goals, often at the expense of their dreams and aspirations. Today, we stand at a crossroads of change, where it's time for men to become the bridges that support and elevate women, acknowledging their sacrifices and championing their success. This era calls for a reversal of roles in acknowledgment and action, fostering an environment where men's active support and partnership propels women's achievements. Together, we can and must transform the narrative from silent endurance to mutual empowerment and shared victories, crafting a future where success is built on the foundations of equality and mutual respect from Battlefields2Sportsfields.

Yes this is true Paris 2024 Olympics will probably go down as one of the most gender-equal in history. Also true: Women's sports media coverage is on the rise tripling since 2019 NCAA sports, has seen about a 5% increase in women's participation from 2020-21 to 2021-22, the largest percentage increase for women since 2000-01 (it took 19 years???) Source: NCAA HOWEVER, the facts remain the same! Girls have 1.3 million fewer opportunities to play high school sports than boys. Have you seen the treatment that football and men’s basketball or baseball gets in high school vs. the girls teams? Even WHEN the girls teams have better records, think on that one a minute! By age 14, girls are dropping out of sports at twice the rate of boys (Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/ep4B_xk6) #1 reason – LACK OF ACCESS I have posted about this before, you would think living in NYC would not be the case, DM me and I can tell you the HOURS we spent finding the right basketball and track opportunities. Ask how the training research went, we formed our own club with Olympian Richard James, you can find us here Brooklyn Speed and Power. Parents are calling and thanking us because this does not exist in NYC. It really takes a village in sports, a very like-minded group of people to get it done. Leadership Roles – I spent a big part of my career working in sports for men’s professional leagues, I would go back and put every ounce of my being into girls and women’s sports. Having a daughter I do it now for a better future for every girl in sports. While progress has been made, women are still underrepresented in leadership positions: Only 25% of NCAA directors of athletics across all divisions are women 41% of NCAA women's teams have a female head coach, an increase of just 1 percentage point since 2011-12 (1% seriously?). - Source: NCAA Girls often face decreased quality of experience in sports, including inferior facilities, less optimal playing times, and less funding compared to boys' programs. Yes, we are making significant strides in women's sports, these statistics highlight that there is indeed still a long way to go to achieve full equity. The progress is encouraging, but continued efforts are needed to address the remaining disparities in participation, leadership, funding, and overall support for women in sports. Please don’t stop now because you think it is “all good” because it is not. We must continue to support our girls in development and guide them with all we have, to stay in their sport. Let’s get the access, let’s build more for them. We must build on this momentum for girls and women in sports, in order to even get close to equity. Yes, the progress is encouraging, but continued efforts are needed to address the remaining disparities in participation, leadership, funding, and overall support for women in sports. #womeninsports #girlsinsports #brooklynspeedandpower

Women champions women in sport who break the mould and shatter stereotypes, inspiring the next generation of girls in sport. Marketing Director, Carrie Tyler adds, “We all want to see female role models in sport and are disheartened to see the high stats of young women and girls dropping out of sport due to a lack of self-confidence. As a North-East business, partnering with Middlesbrough F.C. Women is a natural fit for us. These women, like so many others, go to additional lengths to progress their careers. Few things I love sports, I engage myself and enjoy sports coz its a continuous learning path. You learn more about yourself you develop habits you might not even notice such as: 1. You become goal oriented🎯 Avoiding distractions and keeping your head on the game, that's a discipline. 2. You take failures as fuels.🏋♀️ Loosing the game doesn't define you as a failure. It developed your patience. You just need to keep up and learn more from others. Go back to #1 focus on your goals. and, 3. You develop more trust to God👆 You focus on your goals, your not a failure by loosing the game and you trust God for that. You trust him that next time you'll gonna win the game with all those exerted efforts and preparations you've made its all for him. Whatever sports you choose, with him, nothing is impossible. We become more successful in life developing those good habits in our life.🏆🏆🏆 #HappySunday #Justdoit
