When you make a habit of giving credit to others for their ideas and contributions, it tends to have a positive effect on you as well. By acknowledging and mentioning the name of the person who came up with an idea, or by praising someone for their hard work, you build a good reputation for yourself within the team. This can lead to others also giving you credit and recognition whenever you contribute something valuable. #positivemindset #acknowledgement #recognition #contribution

📕 "Why is this such a profound statement? Building a Supportive Network and The Power of Having True Advocates." Here's why this is so important: In the journey of life and career, it's crucial to surround yourself with the right people, those who will actually speak up for you in a room full of opportunities. This simple concept holds profound significance because it directly impacts your visibility, credibility and access to new possibilities. Imagine being in a room buzzing with opportunities - job openings, exciting projects, potential collaborations. In such a setting, having advocates who have no hesitation to mention your name can make all the difference. When someone speaks positively about you, they are not just acknowledging your talents; they are endorsing your capabilities and potential. These advocates are more than just acquaintances; they are individuals who genuinely believe in you. They become your allies, mentors, or friends in professional settings. Their support and trust in your abilities can open doors that you might not have known existed. The act of mentioning your name in the right circles enhances your visibility. Suddenly, you are on the radar of decision-makers and influencers. This increased exposure can lead to a cascade of opportunities - new job offers, exciting projects, or even promotions within your current role. When others vouch for you, it adds a layer of validation to your skills and character. It builds your reputation and credibility within your industry or community and people start associating your name with competence and professionalism. Building a network of advocates is a strategic investment in your long-term growth and success. These are the individuals who will support you during both highs and lows, offering guidance, opportunities and sometimes just a reassuring word when needed. To cultivate such relationships, start by nurturing genuine connections. Seek out individuals who share similar values and ambitions. Be generous in offering your support and encouragement to others as well. Networking isn't just about collecting business cards; it's about building meaningful relationships based on mutual respect and trust. As you progress, remember the importance of reciprocity. Be the advocate for others that you hope to have for yourself. Celebrate the successes of your colleagues and offer help when you can. Having advocates who will speak your name is a game-changer. It's not just about networking; it's about fostering genuine connections with people who see your potential and are willing to champion your cause. Start nurturing relationships, sharing your goals and offering support to others. Together, let's create a community where everyone thrives and succeeds. Your advocates are out there, go find them and cultivate meaningful connections that will propel you towards your dreams. #Leadership #Inspiration #Networking #Success #Entrepreneurship

Great leaders lift up those around them. Not everyone is used to this, I've had teams initially suspicious of me when I have raised them up and supported their growth - they weren't used to it. I've also had managers who have questioned why I'm promoting the development of my teams 🤯 I'm extremely proud of all the people I have found, mentored and managed over the years. They have continued to blossom and are doing amazing things. Leaders always lift their teams and enable their people to do great things. Poor, middle managers (or want to be managers) who are out of their depth control teams, claim their successes and hold them back from achieving great things. In doing so, they damage the individual, the team and the business. #shame When businesses focus on digital transformations they often forget about people transformations. If you don't have leaders (in title or behaviour) who back people, and most importantly trust each other, you don't have any teams and that's bad for business. #buildingstrongteams #peopleareyourbusiness #growth #ceo #coo #designyourbusiness #digitaltransformation

10moWow! I thought you hired a professional announcer and then at the end, Colie Whitaker surprises me and they reveal the man has a set of "Pipes" as we used to call it in the news business. Great job making the video about the people.
