Interestingly Professor Joe Goldblatt does not mention the absence of skills in the Manifestoes? A distinct lack of understanding by most politicians of the importance of professional recognition and continuing professional development to the economy and the events sector in particular! Roll on 5th July! This topic is being discussed on the eve of the General Election at AEME (Association for Events Management Education) Forum in Sheffield INSTITUTE OF EVENT MANAGEMENT is anyone representing The Business of Events ?

Thank you for this excellent analysis. However, you have regrettably omitted the third largest party, SNP and the Greens both of which have interesting and important contributions regarding events.
