The marketing of EVs in the U.S. seems to emphasize the “green aspect”. I didn’t buy my EV for that reason and I think a lot of those arguments are overblown. 1. It’s a smoother ride 2. I like the low maintenance aspect of the car 3. My model Y is faster than my Mustang GT was. Maybe not top end, but I never found the occasion to drive 150 mph when I had it. 4. Never having to stop to refuel for daily driving is great People say EVs are more expensive. Yes, if you compare them to a Honda Civic. Not if you compare them to a luxury model BMW, Cadillac, etc. that has similar features. And let’s not even get started with the massive quality of life improvements for people around commercial vehicles all day. The quiet and lack of fumes in a yard full of electric rigs is astounding. But that’s another topic. There was nowhere to park yesterday at the gas station where we stopped for some beer so we parked in front of the pump. Had to take the pic. I’ve saved more $$ on not buying snacks at gas stations than I have saved on not buying gas I think.
