sorry, but I can not identify with this women - and I am in the same age range. do we need to walk around strangely in high heels waiving our hips to be empowered?!?

Kudos that she still rocks it like this at 55; however, let's normalize taking up space and being paid attention to because we have ideas that come from experience, because we know our stuff, because we paved the way, because we still have something to offer beyond catching someone's eye.

This is a hard, NOPE! Come on, Female Lead. Really? I hope one day all women will be able to find value in themselves for something more/better than objectifying their bodies, and lose the need to strut around in do-me heels, only half dressed for benefit of the male gaze. This post is extremely disappointing.

On the one hand, kudos to this woman for being confident in her skin and not letting societal norms define her. She looks great. On the other hand, I'm pretty shocked that The Female Lead would amplify this video... which basically says "you can be super hot and fashionable even when you're older". An equivalent video wouldn't be amplified for men on this platform- can you imagine a video of a middle aged dude strutting around in hot pants on a professional networking site? Disappointed by this content. Yes, women can be hot at any age. Let's move on to more important topics.

I love the fact that she is confident, celebrating her life and looks absolutely stunning! But I also don't feel empowered by the message that it conveys. This is the manifestation of white feminism saying that you have to be white, blond, skinny, wealthy, look younger and attract male gaze in order to dare to present your confidence to the public. Do you think the same video will have the same effect if the woman was a regular size with grey hair?

I 150% take this as: “ live life however you want to and however makes you feel happy regardless of age. If wearing heels makes you happy - FLAUNT THOSE HEELS! If building a greenhouse makes you happy - BUILD THAT GREENHOUSE! If voicing your opinion makes you happy - VOICE IT! Stay sexy they way you feel sexy with whichever body you have built for yourself and live your life freely. People will judge and critic e your happiness regardless of however you dress. Who cares? The whole point of the video is to do you boo 👻. Beliefs stop people more than age does. Also, I would 150% respect 🫡 this lady based on character and ability to be free regardless of what she’s wearing. Focusing on that is a waste of time.

What I took from this is -- Whatever has made you feel good over your life doesn't need to stop because you are aging. In this woman's case its her appearance but I have also seen in professional roles, in creativity and physical health (i.e. at the gym) that these are spaces for the young and we are supposed to get smaller and go away as we age. Well, that's not for me. I saw a great quote (sorry I don't know the author) - "Don't hide your light just because it hurts someone else's eyes". Whatever makes you shine, keep doing it no matter your age.
