"It was yet another blow to his anguished campaign to convince Democrats that he’s still got the vim and vigour to beat Donald Trump in November." Read David Smith's analysis of Joe Biden's gaffe-filled speech at the Nato summit in Washington.

President Biden's press conference performance was strong enough to appease some Democrats but shaky enough to keep critics vocal. At the NATO summit's close, Biden demonstrated a firm grasp of foreign policy, calling a second Trump presidency a "national security issue." However, at 81, his occasional incoherence raised doubts about his campaign's viability. **Key Takeaways:** 1. Polling Denial: Despite spending over $170 million, Biden dismissed current polling as premature and dismissed considering withdrawal unless advisors deemed victory impossible. 2. No Longer a "Bridge Candidate": Biden defended his economic record and insisted on staying in the race to "finish the job," asserting his qualifications to govern and win. 3. Gaffes: Biden’s mistakes, like calling Harris "Vice President Trump," caused groans. These gaffes, especially after a poor debate performance, amplify concerns about his suitability. 4. Pacing" and Blame: Biden reframed reports of needing more rest as "pacing" himself and blamed staff for his packed schedule. He aims to reassure Democrats by maintaining a visible presence. 5. Growing Dissent: After the press conference, Rep. Jim Himes and others called for Biden to withdraw, bringing the count to 17 House Democrats. More are expected to join in the coming days. Looking Ahead: Biden's team believes he did what was needed, hoping the RNC will shift focus, especially with far-right speakers set to dominate the media.

Prophetic, as #MattGaetz embodied the #DonaldTrump 's vision of an eventual budget paralysis of the US government through the House blockage. International partners of the #USA in Europe, Asia and the Middle east may expect a restoration of a fair order in their political struggles: "When a majority of House Republicans opposed a successful push by right-wing rebels to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy last week, many warned that a leaderless House would be paralyzed to respond to a domestic or international crisis. [...] The United States already provides Israel more than $3 billion in military assistance every year, but the House would need to elect a new speaker should more funds be needed." #USA #House #GOP #SlimMajority #Uncertainty #ChaosRisk https://lnkd.in/eBpaf772

"We will not walk away. We will not bow down. I will not bow down." - President Joe Biden 🇺🇸 In the 2024 State of the Union address, President Joe Biden emphasizes the importance of #NATO: "Today, we’ve made #NATO stronger than ever". As we navigate through complex challenges, we must be united and work collaboratively for a safer and more prosperous #future. "I see a future where we defend democracy not diminish it. I see a future where we restore the right to choose and protect other freedoms not take them away. "Mr. Biden gave the appearance of an old and enfeebled man who has no chance of meeting the demands of the Presidency for another four years. If Democrats are honest, they know America’s adversaries are savoring the prospect of Biden II. Here’s Mr. Biden’s answer on Thursday to a question about Volodymyr Zelensky’s request that Mr. Biden let Ukraine use U.S. weapons to strike targets inside Russia: “We have allowed Zelensky to use American weapons in the near-term, in the near-abroad into Russia. Whether or not he has—we should be—he should be attacked—for example, should Zelensky—he’s not, but if he had the capacity to strike Moscow, strike the Kremlin, would that make sense? It wouldn’t. “The question is: What’s the best use of the weaponry he has and the weaponry we’re getting to him? I’ve gotten him more HIMAR—I got him more long-range capacity as well as defensive capacity. “And so, our military is worki—I’m following the advice of my commander in chief—my—my—of the—the chief of staff of the military as well as the secretary of Defense and our intelligence people. And we’re making a day-to-day basis on what they should and shouldn’t g—how far they should go in. That’s a logical thing to do.” YOU CAN READ THIS FOR FREE. https://lnkd.in/gWqK67w8

Not so much 2024, this cry of 2011 OWS Tea Party Times. A voice crying in the wilderness of times like these latter days (we are living in) to it all happening in the flesh-this time too. IBEW rebuild Gaza Power Grid?
Article--"For the next six months of our nation's history, we do not need a military leader or brave soldiers. We need presidential leadership to secure the nation and its future as a modern democracy in this frayed and chaotic world. This is not about wars or projecting American power throughout the globe. It is not about extending our economic power. This time requires a president who will work full-time for the next six months to head off any threats to American democracy emanating from the Supreme Court ruling on the extension of presidential immunity, and perhaps, even reining in the power of unlimited dark money in the electoral process."

The extreme right wing , MAGA, new version of the GOP are displaying their value set by waging a political war on the U.S. Pentagon and our United States Military. Meanwhile a government shutdown is looming but none the less the MAGA House Republicans are busy introducing legislation that would cut the pay of our Secretary of Defense, General Lloyd Austin who happens to be African American and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness Shawn Skelly who is Transgender to $1. Bigotry, hate, racism and transphobia on clear display! As the House of Representatives attack our military, their leader Donald Trump is attacking General Milley. The reason Trump is attacking Milley is because the military who was under the leadership of the General during the January 6, 2021 coup attempt that incited a violent and deadly insurrection attempt to topple our government did not support the seditious act, he was insufficiently loyal to Trumps coup attempt. General Milley is a man of ethics and morality who believes in the Constitution of the United States of America, he believes in democracy! Make no mistake, if Trump is re-elected in 2024 the first thing he will do is put loyalists/puppets throughout the Pentagon and Military and slowly gain complete control of the most powerful military in the world. That was the difference in the coup attempt after the 2020 election, Donald Trump did not have control of the military, if he had we would be living in a totally different reality! Democracy vs autocracy??? Please stay engaged and spread the word of the seriousness of the 2024 Presidential Election if Donald Trump is the Republican nominee! Vote while we still have a free and fair election process because if Trump is re-elected President of the United States of America in 2024, elections will no longer be relevant in a Fascist/Authoritarian country! Democracy vs fascism??? We still have a choice! Peace, LOVE and blessings and I LOVE you very much!!! https://lnkd.in/g2DwG_Kv

Donald J. Trump is the 45th President of the United States. He believes the United States has incredible potential and will go on to exceed even its remarkable achievements of the past. Mr. Trump is also an accomplished author. He has written more than fourteen bestsellers. His first book, The Art of the Deal, is considered a business classic. **President Trump has delivered historic results in his first term in office despite partisan gridlock in the Nation’s Capital, and resistance from special interests and the Washington Establishment.** He passed record-setting tax cuts and regulation cuts, achieved energy independence, replaced NAFTA with the United-States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, invested $2 trillion to completely rebuild the Military, launched the Space Force, obliterated the ISIS Caliphate, achieved a major breakthrough for peace in the Middle East, passed the most significant Veterans Affairs reforms in half a century, confirmed over 250 federal judges, including 2 Supreme Court Justices, signed bipartisan Criminal Justice Reform, lowered drug prices, protected Medicare and Social Security, and secured our nation’s borders. But then things went badly. Under the U.N. Charter’s rules, each of the council’s five permanent members has the right to veto any resolution—which is how Russia has managed to block any serious move to condemn Moscow or support Kyiv in this war. In frustration, Zelensky railed against the charter itself, urging the council to change the rule—to allow the General Assembly to override a veto. The problem is that it takes two-thirds of the General Assembly to change any rule. In any case, none of the Security Council’s members are likely to surrender their power. It is worth noting that although Russia has vetoed resolutions 121 times over the decades (including during its days as the Soviet Union), the U.S. has done so 82 times; China, 17 times; and France, 16 times. In April 2022, the General Assembly passed a resolution requiring debate when a veto is cast in the Security Council, but this hasn’t led to any reversals. https://lnkd.in/dTS8D4bu
