Introducing our #ConsortiumPartner from Germany - International Data Spaces Association (IDSA). 🎊 IDSA is a coalition of more than 140 member companies that share a vision of a world where all companies can self-determine usage rules and realize the full value of their data in secure, trusted, and equal partnerships. Its members represent dozens of industry sectors based in 28 countries, with over 100 use cases across the European Union and around the world. 🚀 Within the VELES project, IDSA, as a major driving initiative for Data Spaces at the EU level, aims to contribute to the development of four excellent and sustainable Smart Health place-based innovation ecosystems presented in SE Europe. Earlier this month, adjacent to the 8th World Conference on Research Integrity in Athens, iRISE held a successful consortium meeting with our partners from OSIRIS and TIER2 Project. This gathering marked a significant milestone in our collaborative journey.    Key Highlights:  Stakeholder Input:  Community feedback is essential to inform the direction of our project. The stakeholder forum provided valuable input on improving communication of our findings, ensuring our outputs are inclusive and accessible.  Work Package Collaboration:  Important discussions on overlapping work packages helped identify synergies and establish timelines for the next phase. This is crucial for consolidating evidence within iRISE and creating implementation guides for interventions to improve reproducibility.  Networking and Collaboration:  The meeting fostered strong connections among our TIER2 and OSIRIS colleagues. The openness and collaborative spirit demonstrated by all partners were inspiring, emphasising a genuine effort to improve reproducibility rather than competitiveness.  Diversity and Inclusion:  Our consortium’s diverse backgrounds and perspectives are key to our innovative and effective collaboration. Embracing diversity enhances creativity, problem-solving, and ensures our research is relevant to a wider audience.  Delivering Evidence:  We have a lot of work ahead of us to compile the evidence generated within iRISE. Our focus will be on delivering robust implementation guides and ensuring our research informs policy effectively.  Thank you to everyone involved for their contributions and commitment. The insights gained and connections made during this meeting have laid a solid foundation for our continued success. Building research, monitoring, and evaluation capacity is key to strengthening the #evidence ecosystem, more so in the global south, where monitoring and evaluation are not taught disciplines. Bottom-up or Top-down validation? What do these scenarios mean for GÉANT and the #NRENs? According to our CCO Cathrin Stöver "The balance is in the middle, and organisations such as GÉANT need to meet the requirements of the bottom-up – absolutely reliable services with continuity – and the top-down – allowing for a level of vision and oversight, including trends, changing politics, and policies." "We are facilitating the middle part in this conversation and that role needs to be understood, because the top-down cannot manage and deliver the services but should provide vision, and should enable, and therefore needs to be interested that the bottom-up continues to flourish and perform."
