Motor carriers whose drivers are involved in interstate commerce are required to comply with the federal Hours of Service Rule. According to this rule, you must require CMV drivers who drive interstate to record their duty status for each 24-hour period on a daily log. In order for you to comply with the Hours of Service Rule, your CMV drivers must be trained to fill out the daily driver log correctly and completely This training resource is for use by health and safety managers, officers, trainers and anyone involved in health and safety training to train CMV drivers on Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver Logs. When the training is complete, CMV drivers will be able to identify record of duty status requirements, complete the daily log correctly, log changes of duty status accurately on the grid and retain and submit logs in a timely manner. 🔸 Complete Training Pack: PowerPoint Slide Trainer’s Guide Speaker’s Note Quiz Exercise 1 Exercise 2 Handout Attendance Sheet Training Evaluation Form Download Link 👉: https://lnkd.in/dibKjEqR #training #safety #healthandsafety #trainingsolutions #inhousetraining #healthandsafetytraining #safetytraining #safetytraining #safetytrainingmater...

For those of you from Michigan who are new to trucking/compliance, or maybe you’ve got decades under your belt but love a good refresher once in a while, Michigan Center for Truck Safety is a fantastic ✨FREE✨ resource for individuals & companies!! They can come out to your location and train your drivers and safety team on topics like: ✅Drug & Alcohol Testing (FMCSR 40, 382) ✅Qualification of Drivers (FMCSR 391) ✅Hours of Service (FMCSR 395) ✅Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance (FMCSR 396) ✅Cargo Securement ✅Driver Fatigue and Drowsy Driving ✅Driver Vehicle inspection requirements (FMCSR 396) ✅FMCSR for Government Drivers and Vehicles ✅FMCSR and Covered and non-covered Farm Vehicle. ✅Entry Level Training Requirements for CDL Drivers …and more! I’ve taken their New Entrant Management Training course, and I loved that it was a small class (literally me and 1 other person!) I HIGHLY recommend this course for ANYONE who deals with DOT compliance!! (Especially anyone new to it!) I think it’s important to share free or affordable resources in this field of work since regulations change so frequently that it can be overwhelming if you’re just starting out. I will definitely be posting more free resources I’ve come across! :) https://truckingsafety.org

While employers should offer training to prevent distracted driving, road safety ultimately relies on individual drivers. Drivers who glance away from the road for any reason, even for just a second, risk the safety of themselves and others.💥 Following employer guidelines and working together to understand and minimize the risks of distracted driving is crucial for ensuring safety on the road. #rrminsurance #distracteddriving #distracteddrivingawareness #safedrivingtips

As the backbone of the transportation industry, dump truck drivers play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials. However, with this pivotal role comes significant responsibility, as safety and efficiency are paramount in this line of work. Establishing comprehensive dump truck driver training and safety programs is essential for the well-being of drivers and the success and reputation of your business. A robust training program should cover various aspects, including vehicle operation, load handling, defensive driving techniques, and adherence to industry regulations. By providing drivers with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate diverse road conditions and handle challenging situations, you can mitigate risks and enhance overall safety on the road. Moreover, incorporating safety protocols into daily operations is imperative. Emphasize the importance of pre-trip inspections, proper load securement, and adherence to speed limits and traffic laws. Encourage open communication channels for reporting safety concerns and provide ongoing support and guidance to drivers. In conclusion, establishing dump truck driver training and safety programs is a proactive measure that benefits drivers and businesses. Equipping drivers with the necessary skills and promoting a safety-first mindset will pave the way for a safer, more productive future in the transportation sector. #DumpTruckDriverTraining #SafetyFirst #DriverSafety #NDTA
