What an amazing donation! Former state Rep. Weldon Watson recently presented a print of "The Seminole Oil Boom" to be displayed at Alliance HQ. The artist, Mike Wimmer, was born in Muskogee, graduated from The University of Oklahoma and currently serves as a professor of illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Rep. Watson commissioned the original artwork, which is on display at the Oklahoma State Capitol. Watson specifically chose to honor the Seminole oil boom — which started in 1923 and continued into the 1930s — because his grandfather, Lee Watson, worked in that oilfield. Thanks for the gift! 🎨

Bryan's favorite part about being an oil and natural gas industry member is the people! He noted our industry is dynamic and full of great minds. We couldn't agree more!
