Moreover, it is one of the vital spheres of communication. The central topic of a recent seminar in London was the #IELTS research team's global study, in cooperation with other partners, of the latest technologies relevant for the English language assessment in higher education. The aim is to help university admission departments maintain the high level of validity and reliability of the scores obtained while incorporating AI based technologies into EL testing. It is expected that implementing such technologies may result in a more accurate placement of new students facilitating their further studies.
