Stop focusing on what to wear Start focusing on what am I dressing for I get the same questions on repeat from my clients What should I wear to the : - Conference - Zoom Meeting - Office But I will be honest This is the wrong question to ask If you are an established corporate professional or entrepreneur yes what you wear matters Especially when you are: - Dressing for an important meeting with a client  - About to give a presentation - Dressing for a panel but when you switch from: WHAT TO WEAR to WHAT AM I DRESSING FOR Instead of looking at your closet confused and not knowing where to start You will concentrate on an event you are dressing for So for example: You are invited to be part of the speaking panel You would pick a power suit in a bright color Or you have a presentation on Zoom You would wear a v-neck blouse in a solid color When you focus on an event you are dressing for Finding an outfit is so much easier -------------------------------------------- If you don't know how to get started and want your style to empower you at work and in your business take the personal style quiz. Why is what you wear important to who you are? Your professional dress is the silent ambassador of your personal brand. Dressing with intention not only boosts your confidence but also shapes the way others perceive your professionalism and competence. I wanted to share some examples of outfits that I chose to wear to the office, inspired by a TikTok trend that we made our own. Being professional also does not mean you cannot be comfortable. Administrative professionals, think of ways you can elevate your wardrobe this week and share your ideas here!

In today's modern workplace, we enjoy more liberty in expressing ourselves, as well as how we present our individuality, which is great! However, it's easy to become so carried away with the more relaxed nature of work that we slowly begin to neglect important factors like the position we hold, the audience/client we serve, as well as the culture of our specific workplaces. As a visionary woman who wants to command respect and influence, you should know that while everything may be permissible, not everything is good for you. Here's what I mean... Imagine you attended a professional function where I was invited to speak on impression management and its importance in business continuity. The room is in a frenzy with excitement and everyone is looking forward to my speech. Then I walk in wearing a pair of skinny leather tights and a tank top that barely covers my abdomen. Would you still take me seriously or want to hear what I have to say? I bet you wouldn't. And honestly, I also don't think I would either! Below, I highlight a few fashion hacks that will ensure confidence and position you as a reliable leader with the potential for more advanced positions: 📍 Keep your skirt level at a modest length to not expose too much thigh flesh. Think about how climbing stairs, sitting, or bending will affect you before deciding on your attire. 📍 Skirts and dresses should be fitting, but not clingy, and not too flowing. Flowing dresses are usually reserved for a more casual office culture. While some workplaces may have a more relaxed dress code, it's always better to err on the side of professionalism. 📍 Wear closed-toe shoes that are free of busy patterns. The heel should not exceed 3 inches. A nice leather pump is always appropriate and pairs well with any attire. 📍 Be mindful of the fabric, print, and texture of your attire. Chiffons, silk dresses, and animal prints to name a few are not acceptable in some business environments. (Continued in my next post!)
