❄ Highlights from the Refrigeration case studies session:
🔹 TEKO Refrigeration & Delhaize Belgium – “We all know we have a lack of technicians in the industry, but with FridgiWise we help overcome that through preventative cleaning and maintenance. At Delhaize, there’s been an average of 23% energy savings, with a return on investment of around one year. It will also extend the lifespan of cabinets by 40%.”
🔹 Energy Recovery, Inc. & Fieuw Koeltechniek nv – Energy Recovery and Fieuw Koeltechniek worked together throughout design, installation and commissioning to ensure successful results at the Carrefour grocery store in Diepenbeek, Belgium. Through the partnership, the companies designed an Energy Efficiency Module that could integrate two PX G1300 pressure exchangers into the Carrefour store.
🔹 Unilever – In a world where energy conservation is paramount, Unilever is committed to reducing its #carbonfootprint by low carbon refrigeration and warming up the cold chain from -18 degrees Celsius to -12 degrees Celsius. Low-carbon refrigeration means hydrocarbon refrigerants, high-efficiency components, optimization and best-in-class design and step-change technologies
🔹 Zudek & Müller UK & Ireland – “The [Mueller] project wasn’t based on return on investment, it was based on the age and reliability of the equipment. Moving to natural refrigerants is also just the right thing to do.”
🔹 Panasonic & bioMérieux – “The adoption of #CO2 condensing units is increasing rapidly across Europe, with more than 3,000 Panasonic units installed since 2017, including bioMérieux’s production and R&D facility in Lyon, France.”
🔹 Officine Mario Dorin Spa & Arneg S.P.A. – “CO2 is a proven mainstream solution for every climate in Europe – we no longer have a CO2 equator in Europe – [and] just by changing the electric motor [to Line Start Permanent Magnets] you are able to get significant efficiency improvements.”
