Whether we win or not these three entries are brilliant examples of sustainability being good for business and not just ours but more importantly our customers. It’s important to remember a very simple rule of thumb from the electrical motor industry; The capital cost of an electric motor will be surpassed by running costs in about 4 months. Buying badly and ignoring lifecycle costs is a disaster for any business on the wrong end of out of control operational costs. Equally just as efficiency gains will reward the bill payer every year till the end of time, so too will efficiency shortfalls cost, and cost dearly.
