One feels the difference between Peace Bridge (photo below) and other pedestrian bridges. In modern time, we decided to separate architectural design from structural design.   Thinking about Peace Bridge, one wonder if separating architectural design from structural design advanced or hindered the integration of the constructed forms.

The University of Cambridge has named the teams of architects for a new four-year, £80m framework. The selected teams, which will work on a range of projects for the university, include 5th Studio, Burwell Architects, Purcell, R H Partnership Architects, BDP (Building Design Partnership Ltd), Hawkins\Brown, MCW Architects, Stride Treglown, Jestico + Whiles, Perkins&Will, NBBJ Design and HLM Architects. In this question we rely on information from Curtain Wall tutorial from Types of Facade module.
