Had a great call with Tom Beck to catch-up with zoom ai turned on for summary. Pretty impressive i must say, but it does seem a bit creepy to get a summary from AI, about us talking about AI. I'm now wondering if this is the ChatGPT version of the uncanny valley? ;) "Tom and Shawn shared their experiences with automated note-taking AI during their calls, with Shawn describing a positive experience and Tom expressing skepticism due to past inaccuracies. They discussed the AI's potential for improving webinar transcripts, with Shawn agreeing to test its accuracy. Lastly, they acknowledged the looming AI disruption and discussed the status of Shawn's portfolio."

The article also references the series Mystery AI Hype Theatre (link in the comments), which pours a healthy dose of scepticism on the AI hype train. The hosts do an excellent job of separating facts from the often sensational claims we get from industry leaders in AI.

Being able to speak to AI systems really changes the experience, but the ease of use also may increase the risk of making mistakes like disclosing sensitive data. We need to be aware of these risks as we start using AI in our organizations. Here is a good article all about the difference between voice in co-pilots vs in full LLMs that explains some of these risks.
