Apparently, the world is not BigLaw’s oyster. “There was once an era when it seemed as though the largest law firms would eventually have operations in almost every country in the world. No more.” That’s according to this story originally published on Law.com International which discusses the retreat of major U.S. law firms from various international locales. There appears to be no slowing of BigLaw's domestic expansion desires, however, which is good news for members of NALSC: the National Association of Legal Search Consultants, many of whom are assisting those law firms with their strategic expansion efforts.
