We can conduct a technical round based on the criteria, and if they are rated above average, we can allow them to join, placing them in a probationary period. Before joining, we can inform them to ensure they perform well during this period. This approach may encourage candidates to return to a domain they are passionate about. For me, the festive season sure came bearing gifts - getting placed at Deel as a software engineer being among them! ✨ So that’s the news that I have been waiting to share with you all and what better day than my first day to pen this post (of course there could have been but the excitement of the first day- there’s nothing quite like it 🥰) The preparation phase was perhaps the most daunting one and I guess that’s exactly what makes this milestone all the more worth it. But if I am being honest, this phase required way more effort than I could have anticipated. Learning DSA, LLD, HLD etc. right from scratch and solving problems daily required a few days for me to adjust to. But once I got into the routine, the improvements started becoming visible immediately. The boosted confidence was the most important result of these efforts. Equipped with adequate knowledge and skills, I developed my approach to solving problems which was super helpful during the interviews. More importantly, it helped me move past my fear of interviews. Also helpful were the inputs from Nagasai Mallela who conducted mock interviews and helped me prepare well for the actual interviews. Thank you, Nagasai Mallela , Scaler , Anshuman Singh and Abhimanyu Saxena for all the help! 🙏 And thank you Chetan Vyas and Shruthi K for giving me this opportunity. Lastly, before this post comes to an end, I’d just stay built from basics and gradually build your way up.
