"What makes mental health universal is that it does not discriminate. Mental health doesn’t care about your age, your race, your background; none of those things." Just as singer J Balvin says, mental health is universal, something that can be shared and felt by all of us at any given time. In a way, it connects us. But stigma, fear, and shame keep us from talking about it or embracing treatment. "And also, because I am Latino — I know there can be a certain stigma in my community when it comes to mental well-being. Many Latino men will not want to talk about depression, because they fear it is not a manly thing, or that they will then be known as loco. But I don’t hesitate to say that I have been depressed." Managing stress and time effectively is crucial for maintaining good mental health. Start by identifying stress triggers and practicing mindfulness to stay in the present moment. Prioritize tasks by importance, and break them into manageable chunks to reduce overwhelm. Don't hesitate to delegate or seek support when needed. Schedule regular breaks to recharge and engage in stress-relief activities like meditation, exercise, or hobbies. Creating a balanced routine that includes time for work, relaxation, and self-care can help you better navigate life's demands and protect your mental well-being. Meditation doesn't help me. It worsens my mental health. I am writing this just after trying to meditating to a music of rain and thunder which often calms me down. Whenever it rains, I never miss to sit near the window, with a cup of Chai, hear the pitter-patter of the raindrops and let some of them splatter on my face. Often people advice me to meditate in order to process my thoughts and clear the clamour in my mind. Honestly, I have tried it many times. Meditation is considered the most effective way to deal with mental health issues. However, I find it really difficult to meditate. When I close my eyes and try to concentrate, the emptiness in the mind becomes more vulnerable to haunting thoughts. Rather than helping me avoid those thoughts, meditation only aggravates them. Maybe I am not doing it right. Or maybe it is the reflection of the truth that every person is different and so are their coping mechanisms. More than meditation, listening to songs help me. What is your thought on this? Do you also feel meditation doesn't help? If it does, do share tips on how to improve the process. #mentalhealth #meditation #stress #copingmechanism #connections

#mentalhealth #consciouslife #slowliving #wellbeing The topic of mental health became urgently important for me in 2019 not because I became more conscious or decided to live in a slow mood, but because I had physical and mental problems. Thus I began to search for answers, methods, and techniques that would help me. Since that period more than 4 years passed and now I am taking care of my mental health consciously adding new methods and secret helpers to my list every day, experimenting, trying, playing, adding, and deleting something from the list. So here I again would like to share my tips and techniques that help me. BREATHING I do conscious breathing in every difficult, turbulent, and challenging situation. If now you can't do conscious breathing don't worry, just breathe, you will feel it later and it will become integral part of your life. NATURE Only last year I began to feel the true vibration of nature and resonate with it on its vibration, taking out myself of the low frequency. When I am sitting near water (lake, river, sea, ocean) I do not only observe and contemplate it, I literary feel part of it that I am the lake/river/sea/ocean. This is true purification and upgrading the energy level. When I am observing surfers I feel that I do the same, it's not imagination and dreaming, this is very different, this is the sphere of feeling as if you are in the water surfing, you feel the water on your body, you feel the strength of the waves, you even feel physical pain in your body. That is real magic in practice, when you feel and not imagine. HIKING I revealed hiking for me only in Germany. I even could not understand and realize why all my life in Ukraine I didn’t ever try it. In August 2023 I did my first 26km on foot and it was fascinating. Physically I was tired, but I was recharged mentally and balanced psychologically. I felt myself happier and calmer, slept better, and was not terrorized by negative thoughts. MEDITATION For several years I just was trying to simulate meditation, to play this game that I can do it, to fake it till I make it. Now I really can do it and it helps me, moreover, I do not need anymore a guru or a spiritual teacher to guide me, I can not only do it by myself but I also created numerous own meditation practices. SOUND HEALING I revealed it in Kyiv and continue using this practice in Germany. If you, of course, are not in India or Nepal, and you do not know which center to attend, or whom you can trust, begin at least with high-vibration music on the Internet. Numerous YouTube channels are creating such types of music. Full and detailed article is in my blog https://lnkd.in/eTUZCrpP

In our fast-paced world, the skill of being fully present in the moment is more valuable than ever, yet it is not something we master overnight. The ability to focus on the here and now is not just beneficial for our mental health but is also crucial for our brain's well-being. Remember to celebrate personal and emotional progress and be gentle with yourself on the tougher days. Mindfulness isn't about perfection; it's about bettering our overall well-being one moment at a time. #mentalhealth
