The real work happens outside of meetings. Often, meetings are nothing more than an unproductive distraction that chews up time in your day from dealing with customers. The happiest people I know in business have figured out the secret: fewer meetings and a mostly empty calendar. This allows them time to think. Because without thinking time all you do is live a mindless day and operated on auto-pilot. Say no to more meetings. <<<>>> ✍️ Do fewer meetings make you more effective?  ♻️ Reshare if you found this helpful.

Great leaders make reducing meetings a priority. -Audit each meeting to understand who absolutely needs to be in the meeting -All meetings must have an agenda in the invite. No agenda? No meeting -Set "no meeting days"....and stick to it -Set no meetings during lunch hours.... and stick to it 4 unnecessary meetings each week with 10 team members = one FTE worth of productive work EACH YEAR

During the work from home era when Covid cleared our offices, I watched intently how workers adapted and behaved. Unfortunately many bad habits were formed as we scrambled to collaborate. No agendas, no outcomes and unclear roles has lingered in our meetings and until we address that, go ahead and skip that meeting- it won’t even matter.

Most of the corporates are wasting time to discuss the entire day. Many of their senior team are just unable to even talk to their juniors or mentor them. Each of them runs from call to meeting and meeting to call. The very purpose of having great minds within the team is lost due to such a heavy flow of calls and meetings.

The best meetings are when everything has been said and everyone agrees to get time back in their calendar. No need to drag out a meeting just because a time was allotted to it !

Spot on! Fewer meetings mean more time for deep work and real progress.😊

One should mindfully select based on the demographics and personality traits. Judging whether we are introverted or extroverted helps. As per recent studies, introverts rule.

I’m a fan of calling meetings on an as-needed basis only. Zero regularly scheduled meetings. Bring people together when there’s a need to do so, like when there is a need for crisis planning or to solve a problem.

Minimizing meetings can significantly enhance productivity by freeing up time for actual work, allowing for more thinking time, and reducing distractions.
