This was such a fun day. Nobody on the shop floor but my brother and I. Adopting LEAN principles and attempting to reduce two/three of the 7 wastes. We were trying to implement a stockless production system with no reservoir of material (inventory) and bring each process to each other instead of walking between operations (transport). At the time, this was the feed material for one of the larger production jobs in the organisation. Unfortunately this project has now come to the end of its contracted term and we only supply a limited number of aftermarket parts. #familybusiness #technicalsales #engineering #engineeringsolutions #continuousimprovement #kaizen #ukmanufacturing #Warrington #halton We succeeded in our mission that we were aiming for this day and we ran the production cell with a much reduced cost for several months until September 2022. https://lnkd.in/eSFNk-k6

If you search for microquilt cutting stations you will see how they regulate two machines in the same set up albeit a different product. You need a dancing roll between to regulate the two together automatically.
