JOIN THE FUN! Sustainability + Finance = A Riveting Conversation I'm excited to kick off the Department of Energy's State and Community Energy Programs webinar series on Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC). So what is an ESPC? It's a financial mechanism to implement facility improvements today through future energy savings. Ok, but what does that even mean? In its simplest form, it means you can use low-hanging fruit projects that render high energy savings (i.e. LED retrofits) to support larger facility improvements (i.e. boiler, chiller, heat pumps). You can do this with no capital down or with capital down. Still, the savings are guaranteed and support organizations like k-12 upgrade much-needed aging infrastructure by using energy savings to pay back the contract. I look forward to sharing what I've learned from doing this at two different organizations. Come join me!
