Stand-up comedian Shang Forbes just gave me some great advice: “Sumtimez U have 2 let people know U are out there doing it.” This informal message was the invaluable insight I needed to hear because: 👉🏾 If no one sees your work, you get no feedback. 👉🏾 If you don’t get feedback, it reduces your ability to improve. 👉🏾 If you don’t publicize your work, it’s less likely to be discovered. 👉🏾 and even if your work is discovered, you may not receive proper attribution. These jokes can’t laugh at themselves These strategies can’t operationalize themselves These ideas can’t build themselves and These products can't sell themselves You have to do it.
