My main takeaways from VentureBeat #Transform Day 2: - enterprises are afraid to launch #GenAI products because AI monitoring and supervision is being done by human engineers. One company stated it could only roll out its product to one person every 2 weeks, because each new user meant that a whole new cycle of human monitoring, feedback, and iteration needs to be conducted. - LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Nvidia) emphasize that all companies should be doing evals and testing on agents before deployment, but companies don't have the expertise or resources to do it at scale - companies are hungry to build GenAI products that are both chatbot and agent, just like a human who you can talk to and who can also do things. It's time for the agent vs chatbot distinction to end -- both are needed to create an effective product! - having engineers in charge of GenAI products is slowing down a lot of companies, since business requirements are drafted, then it takes months for a product to be built, but the product needs revision so it gets kicked back to engineering, and the cycle continues. We need more no-code platforms to allow business users to start building and iterating on the products they need to speed up the development cycle.
