Takeda has a long history of driving important treatment advances for patients, particularly those with #HematologicalCancers facing treatment gaps. I am excited to share that we have entered into an exclusive option and license agreement with Ascentage Pharma for its oral, third-generation BCR-ABL TKI, which is currently in development for #ChronicMyeloidLeukemia and other #HematologicalCancers. What an honor it was to attend the Japan Society of Boston Gala where Takeda was presented with the Distinguished Global Citizenship award. As we approach Takeda’s 243rd anniversary, I am so proud of the strides we’ve made for patients together and through the ongoing business and cultural ties between Boston and Japan. I look forward to seeing how the exchange between Japan and Massachusetts continues to strengthen and acts as a bridge to facilitate future advancements in healthcare and #oncology across these two hubs. Thank you for including us in this special evening!

Such a fantastic exchange of ideas at a gathering with the Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM) and special guest Governor Maura Healey. Hosting opportunities like this - which brought together members of the Office of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey administration, business leaders, nonprofit professionals and key voices from the health sector - makes my role as a co-sponsor of Takeda’s Planet program even more rewarding. We had great conversations representing diverse perspectives, yet I heard general agreement that an equitable approach to environmental issues can foster greater public health as well as economic opportunity. Although, the environmental challenges facing our state and the world are too big for any one organization or sector to tackle alone. I hope today's dialogue is the first step toward greater collaboration and action. Thank you to everyone who joined us at Takeda. Your commitment to a healthier future is inspiring! 

As International Day of Women and Girls in Science approaches, I want to celebrate the remarkable achievements of #womeninSTEM and #oncology. I’m proud to be part of #TeamTakeda and be surrounded by many powerful women who continue to inspire me and fuel my passion for the work we do for patients with #cancer. Together, we can propel innovation forward and advance the future of healthcare. #womeninscience

In #oncology research, development and delivery today, embracing digital advancements is not just an option, it is a necessity. By tapping into new technology, we can solve problems - both big and small - and introduce efficiencies to our work.    For example, digital tools have allowed us to capture and act upon important data that can support patient adherence to therapy, outcomes and quality of life. While a small win, I even used AI to help find the most relevant hashtags for this post!    The unknown can be intimidating, but I look forward to seeing how digital solutions can get us closer to our aspiration of finding a cure for #cancer. Kicking off 2024 in San Francisco at the Longwood Healthcare Leaders meeting, just before heading to #JPM24! What an exciting way to start the new year – convening with bright minds across biopharma to discuss how we can do more for patients. Digital advancements continue to reach new heights and it’s up to us to embrace them to make a difference for people living with #cancer. I have a feeling 2024 will be a year of fast-paced, positive change.   Looking forward to a week full of learning, collaboration and connecting. Late-stage #colorectalcancer is an area of great unmet need, and I’m proud to witness this approval. Congratulations to all involved!
