Tomas Kvedaravicius’ Post

A week ago, I had the privilege of talking about Digital Transformation at the #CDOIQ conference organized by #MIT. This topic is close to our hearts at GSK. Admittedly it’s an ambiguous realm. But at GSK, we're not just discussing change, we're driving it, converting the vast amount of data generated by our R&D each year into tangible business value.   I took an example of an Atlas Product that we fully launched a year ago, sharing the principles behind our user and business-centric approach, specifically designed for Knowledge & Decision-Making. This has been a great example of the digital transformation journey we are on in R&D, meeting the urgent need to manage knowledge effectively and help our scientists make smarter decisions.   But we're not stopping there. As I highlighted at the conference's conclusion, Generative AI is giving us the means to further accelerate our transformation into the digital age, capitalizing on the vast pool of R&D knowledge we continue to accumulate.   At GSK, we stand at the exciting intersection of science and cutting-edge technology to deliver new medicines to patients faster. #CDOIQ #DigitalTransformation #KnowledgeManagement #DecisionMaking #GenerativeAI #GSK

It would be naïve to dismiss the opportunities that "Generative AI" can offer, but how are you balancing the eagerness to leverage these opportunities with a risk aware sense of the negative possibilities improper or irresponsible use could lead to?

I agree, Tomas Kvedaravicius. Digital transformation can drive real business change. Leveraging the power of data and AI enhances decision-making and allows the team to focus on what really matters.
