I had the pleasure to be interviewed to CTech by Calcalist about the impact of generative AI on work and on the workforce. This topic has gained more attention following the release of The White House Economic Report of the President in March 2024, where Chapter 7 reviews the comprehensive impact AI has and might have on the workforce. While change is inevitable, the potential for AI to augment us is higher than the risk of replacing us. This is why human agency and curiosity are crucial. I doubt there are many taxi drivers who can upskill or reskill - so there is definitely a challenge in the midterm until the next generation take up the new emerging positions.
