I endorse all of these (ok except for the surveillance in #8) - especially a good organization tip to put everything in the same place, every time

I agree with everything here except that I have Clear (and global entry), and Clear has been absolutely useless lately. Too many people have Clear now. The Clear people just send me to the tsa pre line which is always shorter than the tsa pre/Clear line.

This is great!! And after 22 years, I now appreciate carry-on (only) luggage!

To my utter surprise I have learned to travel internationally for two weeks with carry on luggage. It’s a game changer!

Love these tips. Being early and being kind to fellow travellers are my 2 highlights.

I love this

Loved this, Tom. Don't agree with you about carry-on but I completely respect the passion with which you delivered each point.

Great stuff! Uncle Monnie didn’t run because he never ran. Not as a kid, adult, in the store, at a hotel. Aunt Lil was the athlete.

Wise words from a seasoned traveler! I only object to not checking luggage on direct flights. I hate few things more than fighting through the hoards to grab my bag. Agree on connections!
