🙋🏾♀️ As I celebrated my 31st birthday yesterday, one of my wishes was to connect with an eco-friendly or sustainably-focused brand for a Secondhand September event. Fun fact: My outfit yesterday was styled by my younger sister, Selysia Lewis, and had been tucked away in a box in my storage unit. I actually bought it from Vinted last year—talk about living and breathing sustainability! Growing up, I frequently visited markets with my mum and sisters, and I still love discovering treasures at markets and charity shops. Beyond delivering sustainably-focused gardening workshops, cooking classes and dining experiences at my venture, The Barefoot Planter. We curate experiences to capture key climate, sustainability or nature-related moments throughout the year. Since moving house last year, I've been eager to declutter and sell some of my stored items. I often joke about wanting to join a car boot sale, but there's just one hitch—I don't have a car or a license! 😂 Instead, I'm excited about the idea of hosting a pop-up preloved and secondhand clothes event this September.
