After a turbulent year, how will the #beauty industry’s hiring trends change in 2024? For the year ahead, executive recruiter Frances Mazur expects to see shifts across brands’ approaches to #marketing, operations and compensation. #Brandmarketing, for example, will expand with new roles across the industry, whereas #growthmarketing will be reduced at top brands, which could mean fewer hires or possible headcount reductions. And in this case, AG1 nailed the hiring experience. Today we have our first full-time marketing hire at Hyperengage and I designed a few questions to understand them more, their prior work isn't always enough... What would you ask on top? Add questions in the comments Mine are: 1. What fulfills your appetite at work OR what are you hungry about? 2. Who inspires you in marketing/Sales and why? 3. Why did you agree to serve this role and what do you see for yourself in it? 4. What's one change you've welcomed into your life, whether it's a shift in beliefs or your daily habits, and what motivated this change? We need people who are fulfilled, inspired, motivated, and willing to change on any given day. Not to mention, I hired and fired 6 people last year and had missing answers to the above 4 questions!

When I joined Brandwatch almost 3 years ago, I didn't have a background in MarTech or selling data. And I was nervous about trying something new that wasn't in the technical wheelhouse I had already honed. I found the role unexpectedly through my network. I founded a Women in Revenue employee resource group at my previous company because I saw a lack of female leadership, particularly on the revenue team. I found a female VP of Sales and was excited to bring her in to meet our group. We ended up hitting it off and starting an informal interview process. I interviewed with my now-manager, who was in the process of moving from Account Executive to Sales Manager. We hit it off instantly. She is the most genuine and supportive person I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I feel so fortunate to be on her team. Through ups and downs, her leadership keeps me at Brandwatch. Since Brandwatch has joined forces with several top MarTech companies, like Falcon and Paladin, to create one monster suite, the team has grown as well. Brandwatch’s sales team is filled with some of the hardest working, humble, and kind folks I have worked with. There is a culture of healthy competition and genuine celebration for each other’s wins - this culture directly stems from Manager and Director leadership.
