Here’s why I think now is the perfect time for more people to be organising group rides more often; Firstly, some economic context: re-normalised demand coupled with oversupply leading to excess inventory. Seen within the wider context of a spike in the cost of living and increased interest rates, this means an extended consumer purchase journey and an increased focus on value. Price doesn't always equal value. Nowadays consumers and riders are looking for more. A better brand, a better product and ultimately a better experience and connection with the companies they're purchasing from So, how does more people organising group rides help to solve this? By treating this as an opportunity to deepen our connection with our consumer, generate brand loyalty and increase participation by welcoming new entrants into the sport we are adding immense value to the consumer proposition whilst expanding the playing field for everyone involved. For many, including myself, it’s the interactions with others that have helped us discover the knowledge and explore the routes that keep us coming back for more.
