Not all firefighter telephone handsets are the same. While these systems are being phased out in favor of ERRCES, in Philadelphia these systems exist in high rises and have to be maintained. Below is a picture of (2) FFT handsets. Look similar, right? Until you use the handset on the system. Most FFT's are listed and compatible with the manufactured system installed on site. EST wont work with Siemens. EVAX wont work with GWFCI. There is a reason for NRTL listings, compatibility is one of them.

Each kit comprises a wireless transmitter (868 MHz or 2.4 GHz) and a normally open/normally closed circuit sensor designed to connect to the alarm port usually found at the rear of the equipment. The sensor is installed using the alarm port connector supplied with the equipment. Once wired, the DATAssure system will alert users of any alarm triggered on the monitored unit.
