An International call for projects has been launched to refurbish and re-conceptualise several halls at the Montjuïc trade fair venue. The historic trade fair venue of Fira Internacional de Barcelona at Montjuïc hill is to be remodelled ahead of the centenary for the Universal Exhibition of 1929, with an international architecture competition launched last May 15th for the renovation project. The goal is to turn the Montjuïc venue into an iconic and modern urban trade fair complex in Europe. Next Monday, RedeMov of the Universidade de Lisboa is organizing the "Airports Decarbonization and Sustainability Challenges" Conference, as part of the "Conversas à Sexta " Conference Cycle, with Xibei Jia, PhD student at CiTUA - Territory, Urbanism, and Architecture, as the speaker. Date: April 22,  Time: 17:00 Location: TTC@ULisboa Auditorium Conference Framework: The study addresses airports' main challenges in reducing their environmental impact. A comparative analysis of 150 airports and methodologies was carried out to assess the potential impact of alternative solutions for the different components of the airport that contribute to the overall impact of the infrastructure. President of Estonia Alar Karis was introduced to our mycelium seating block at the Eesti Arhitektuurimuuseum / Estonian Museum of Architecture. 👋 The exhibition Diplomacy of Space: The Interiors of Estonian Foreign Missions curated by Karin Paulus shows that alongside acknowledging the ingenuity of our diplomats, a country also establishes itself abroad through space – embassies, residences and other foreign missions. Considering the fact that an embassy is a piece of Estonia, it is logical that the interior architecture should reflect this. 🚧 European project MOSAIC: A new pavement for the city of #Granada. 🚧 🚀 A few months ago, we started the European project #MOSAIC, funded by FRIEND CCI Eurocluster (SMP-COSME-2021-CLUSTER, GA. No. 101074465), under the coordination of TESELA Materiales Innovación y Patrimonio. 🎯 The project aims to redefine artistic wall and floor coverings through the innovative use of hydraulic tiles, a building material dating back to the 19th century. In doing so, we prioritize technical excellence as well as environmental sustainability. 🏛️ Moreover, the project envisions implementing this tiling as urban paving in Granada. Different symbols of the city will be considered, along with a design that contemplate the inclusion of all people and pedestrians, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. Did you know that on March 13th, the international real estate and investment forum MIPIM 2024 will take place, which annually happens in Cannes, France? Of course, Latvia is also participating. We are truly pleased that one of our clients is also a participant – Riga Port City. Also, one of the MIPIM 2024 finalists is the Riga developer Eagle Hills, which plans to invest 3 billion in the development of Andrejsala. However, we believe this is insufficient. In Latvia, many worthy world-class projects are being developed and implemented, which, in our opinion, should be presented. We need to show that we can also build modern, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing buildings. This is a great step towards the development and popularization of the real estate industry in Latvia on an international level. We can do more. Latvia, let’s go!
