How do you start automating any process? Essentially, any process has 3 steps - the input (how data/request arrives), "stuff-in-between"/processing, and the output (report/table row). So start by fixing the input - there should be one way information gets into your company or unit. For example, if you receive work orders, you need to have a mailbox "[email protected]" and all work orders should arrive there. Even if you receive it in your own mailbox, you need to forward it there. Congratulations! You've just created a single source of truth and the basis for any further automation!
