In small doses, stress can be a good thing. More blood is allotted to the brain, which heightens the senses and gets the body ready for the challenge. However, prolonged stress soon wears out the body and mind, and is unhealthy for both the person and the workplace. Often the hardest part of dealing with stress is realizing or admitting there is a problem. Look for these symptoms: ➡️ Feelings of guilt or embarrassment ➡️ Feeling of anxiety or anger ➡️ Prolonged sleeplessness and disturbing dreams ➡️ Trouble concentrating ➡️ Social withdrawal ➡️ Muscle tension or headaches ➡️ Irritability ➡️ Increased smoking or alcohol consumption ➡️ Decreased or sloppy work output #StressManagement #MentalHealth #EmployeeWellbeing #WorkplaceStress #EmployeeHealth
