Many of you have probably read about the recent California legislation requiring Scope 3 reporting for companies. Perhaps the most common complaint is the difficulty in measuring these emissions and the administrative burden it causes. Alex Scott, associate professor of supply chain management, aids in creating a database containing emissions profiles for more than 400,000 motor carriers and millions of trucks, including private fleets.
