I'd by lying if I said the canned wine category isn't TOUGH. But the reason for this is because it's "fairly" new and understanding and appreciating it requires a little history lesson: 👉 canned wine starting gaining in popularity in the 2010's 👉 2014-2015 is when the category starting seeing recognizable growth 👉 sustainability, portability, and convenience were top selling factors 👉 millennials were the OG consumers 🔻 just like bottled wines, quality varies (and if someone's first canned wine happens to be a low quality wine, what's the chance they'll blame it on the can? 🤔 ) 🔻 cans have lining to prevent the metal and wine reacting but not all lining is done properly 🔻aluminum doesn't age the wine well, so cans are meant to be consumed "young," unlike a lot of bottled wine 🔻 canned wine has general negative perception because it goes against thousands of years of wine history + all the other reasons above.
