Breakout rooms are powerful for virtual training sessions for several key reasons: 1. Enhanced Engagement and Participation • Smaller Group Interaction: Breakout rooms allow participants to engage in more intimate and focused discussions, reducing the intimidation factor of speaking in front of a large group. • Active Participation: In smaller groups, individuals are more likely to contribute, ask questions, and share their ideas, which increases overall engagement and participation. • Interactive Activities: Trainers can use breakout rooms for interactive exercises, such as role-playing, brainstorming, or group problem-solving, making the learning experience more dynamic and engaging. 2. Personalized Learning and Collaboration • Tailored Discussions: Breakout rooms enable trainers to address specific needs, questions, or skill levels of different groups, providing a more personalized learning experience. • Peer-to-Peer Learning: Participants can learn from each other through discussions and collaborative activities, fostering a sense of community and collective problem-solving. • Immediate Feedback: Trainers can visit breakout rooms to provide immediate feedback and support, ensuring that participants stay on track and understand the material. 3. Increased Retention and Application of Knowledge • Practical Application: Breakout rooms provide opportunities for participants to apply what they've learned in practical scenarios, reinforcing their understanding and retention of the material. • Focused Debriefing: After breakout sessions, trainers can debrief with the entire group, allowing participants to share insights and learnings from their smaller group discussions, which helps solidify knowledge. • Reflection and Sharing: Breakout rooms give participants time to reflect on the content and share their perspectives, leading to deeper processing and long-term retention of information. #virtualtraining #virtuallearning #zoomtraining #virtualproducer #trainingmanagement #trainingmanager #learninganddevelopment

4 Killer Tool Tips for Your Next Live Training... This week I'm hosting two (2) live trainings teaching BRAND NEW Quiz Funnel training that we will be rolling out in the coming weeks (As part of my 4-Part Business Plan that I revealed publicly for the first time ever this past weekend...) We have a combined 279 customers signed up this week to attend the LIVE experience between two sessions (Today and Thursday). (BTW - This training is the biggest update in over 3 years. All new stuff.) Everyone who signed up gets to attend this training live at a massively discounted price under the understanding that: A. This is new training, and won't be perfect. B. They've agreed to provide their feedback so we can fill any gaps. Now, I've done MANY trainings over the years... and have picked up a million little tips along the way, but here are four killer tool tips that I'll be using this week, AND which have made a massive difference for me: 1: Google Slides - As a Keynote user for years, this was a tough habit to break. But Google Slides is super easy for multi-presenter collaboration and making changes on the fly (even mid training if needed). In fact, with Google Slides I will have a second team member making changes to slides in real-time based on feedback we're getting live during training to clarify or expand upon concepts. 2: Notability App - Perfect for hand-drawn doodles. I use an iPad with the Notability App for showing all my hand-drawn diagrams, frameworks, models, and doodles (like the one you see on this screen.) PRO TIP: When you setup your iPad as a second camera on your QuickTIme App on your Mac, you can show your iPad as a second screen, without having to do any screen-share switching in Zoom. (This one is HUGE...) 3: Zoom Meeting (Not Webinar) - Speaking of Zoom. We have a bunch of Zoom settings we've spent time optimizing for all our trainings, but one thing I will say is this: I much prefer doing trainings as Zoom meetings instead of webinars. Faces on screen, more personal, more interactive. And here's one key: We will often turn OFF chat, and use the Q&A function only to facilitate cleaner answering of questions and avoid distractions happening in the chat. I'm curious, what are your favorite tool tips for delivering YOUR live trainings? P.S. Tool Tip 4 is an ADVANCED tip. I've included it in the first comment because it gets a bit nerdy. You've been warned :-) P.P.S. If you would be interested in either attending one of our upcoming live trainings to see all this in action (or for me to create a tutorial / studio tour of my setup), let me know with a comment. If there's enough interest, I've been thinking about possibly putting something together :-)

Director, Sales Training (Associated Materials) ✪ Talent Development Team ✪ Each day is an opportunity for growth.
💡 Here's what I learned from facilitating 60 hours of virtual training in 20 days: First, some context: We needed to revamp our sales training to include a stronger virtual component for more timely and accessible onboarding of new sales reps. So, we decided to run our entire sales organization through the new content. We divided the organization into six groups and conducted one 2.5-hour virtual session with each group weekly for four weeks, promoting retention through spaced content delivery. Key insights: 💥 Holding learners' attention for 2.5 hours virtually is challenging, but incorporating breakout rooms, mixed media, and short breaks helps. 💥 Boosting breakout room engagement by mixing learners from different teams and regions fosters learning from diverse perspectives. 💥 Gamification, such as competitions between breakout groups, further enhances engagement, retention, and enthusiasm. 💥 Leveraging the chat feature alongside verbal requests encourages participation from those hesitant to speak publicly. 💥 Virtual role-playing effectively practices techniques and fosters camaraderie among learners despite initial reluctance. 💥 Reinforcing content with take-home activities or micro-learning engagements (eLearning) for continuous retention and improvement is critical. Despite varied opinions on virtual training, its value is evident, particularly for early and convenient learner engagement and reaching a broader audience when geographic challenges exist. Some of these lessons were learned through previous experience, while others I learned during the journey with this group over the past 20 days. ❓ I'm curious: what lessons have you learned in facilitating longer virtual sessions with learners?

Corporate training videos are an excellent way to educate employees on various aspects of the company, including products, services, policies, and procedures. However, to make these videos effective, they need to be engaging and informative. Here are some tips for elevating your corporate training videos: Keep it short and sweet: In today's fast-paced world, people have a shorter attention span. Therefore, it is essential to keep your training videos short and concise. Ideally, your videos should not be longer than ten minutes, and each section should be broken down into smaller, easily digestible segments. Use high-quality visuals and sound: The quality of your video matters. Use high-quality visuals, such as animations, graphics, and images, to make your videos more engaging. Additionally, ensure that the sound quality is clear and free from distractions. Personalize the content: Personalization is the key to keeping your audience engaged. Use real-life scenarios and examples to make your videos relevant to your employees. Additionally, use a conversational tone to make the videos more relatable. Make it interactive: Interactive training videos can make the learning process more engaging and enjoyable. Consider using quizzes, polls, and surveys to keep your employees engaged and encourage active participation. Optimize for mobile viewing: Many people today access content through their mobile devices. Therefore, it is essential to optimize your training videos for mobile viewing. This means using a responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and orientations. By following these tips, you can elevate your corporate training videos and create an engaging and effective learning experience for your employees. #tetrafilms #corporatetrainingvideo

Are your teams struggling to collaborate effectively? One of the main reasons behind your team not collaborating effectively could be the method of learning they receive. Nowadays, traditional classroom training often fails to engage participants; it's boring, non-interactive, and lacks engagement. On the other hand, business simulation offers an interactive learning experience and allow participants to engage in decision-making processes, strategic planning, and problem-solving in a controlled, risk-free environment. Business simulations, like "The Quest for King Solomon's Mines," offer a completely different experience. They provide an engaging, immersive, and interactive environment where people learn by doing, playing, making mistakes, and learning from others. This simulation is available in various kits: KSM 4, KSM 6, KSM 12 and KSM Pro for different number of participants. Also, till the 31st of May, SimuRise is running a special offer on KSM 12 and KSM Pro kits, which includes $3600 worth of complimentary facilitator certification, additional licenses and a business simulation. As this offer ends on the 31st of May, hurry up and book your kits. Connect with us at [email protected], or call Shweta at 0845-208-4442 / Karan at 0932-498-0145. Don't miss out on this opportunity to transform your training programs with an engaging, fun, and immersive experience.
