Following a devastating diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, Paul Beard successfully had a double lung transplant and emerged with a newfound appreciation for life. However, the immunosuppressant drugs he took post-transplant led to the development of debilitating skin cancers. Seeking a solution, Paul enrolled in the SiroSkin trial, which is testing whether a topical cream can reduce the burden of facial skin cancers in organ transplant recipients. Paul’s inspiring journey serves as a testament to the power of positive thinking and the impact clinical trials can have in transforming lives.
