This is an important initiative to ensure that commercial vehicles, which have different needs for charging and electrical infrastructure, are top of mind as infrastructure develops. The next time you see a public charger, ask yourself whether a truck could use it (would it fit in the spot, can it even access it, can it pull out easily?) and the answer will probably be clear. At this point, most charging is designed for passenger cars and not suitable for commercial and heavier vehicles. This initiative will help bring together and educate the broad range of stakeholders in the effort to extend infrastructure to help our sector advance electrification.

Cross-industry coalition launches in the United States to accelerate zero-emission #VehicleInfrastructure deployments. 🚛🔋 Powering America’s Commercial Transportation (PACT), a coalition focused on education and advocacy for accelerating the construction of nationwide infrastructure for medium- and heavy-duty #ZeroEmission vehicles (ZEVs), launched this week in the United States with the express purpose of overcoming the many barriers delaying access to ZEV infrastructure and enhancing national climate policies to address infrastructure needs of medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles. #PACT is established by Daimler Truck North America, Navistar Inc and Volvo Group North America, who collectively represent approximately 70 percent of all new medium- & heavy-duty #Truck sales in the U.S., and are committed to ambitious #Electrification goals. ⚡ Learn more about the coalition: https://dth.ag/PACT #DaimlerTruck #DaimlerTruckNorthAmerica

We just placed an order for yet another 100 electric trucks 🚛🔌 We currently have the largest fleet of heavy-duty electric trucks in Europe, and with this step, we're closer to reaching the target of electrifying at least 25% of its truck fleet by 2030. "We want to drive the transition to more sustainable road transport. Our expanding fleet of electric trucks will not only contribute to reducing the climate impact of our operations. It will also enable DFDS to support more companies looking to decarbonise their supply chains. The 100 new electric trucks underline our commitment to pushing the development forward," says Niklas Andersson, EVP of the Logistics Division. Heavy Duty Electric Trucks Ready For Australian Roll Out. As Linfox celebrates the arrival of the first FM Electric delivered in Australia, Volvo Group Australia President and CEO Martin Merrick discusses the electrification road map for Volvo Trucks Australia. Recent legislative changes in four Australian states allow for higher front and rear axle loads for BEV’s (battery electric vehicles), paving the road towards our commitment to sustainability. These changes have given Volvo Group Australia the green light to invest even more heavily in the future of Australian manufacturing. DB Schenker intends to resume road tests of the Volta Zero DB Schenker had pre-ordered 1,500 Volta Zero electric trucks before the bankruptcy of Volta Trucks. Now the German logistics group says it is ready to resume testing and "welcome the first serial vehicles as soon as possible." DB Schenker official statement about the collaboration with Volta Commercial Vehicles “After filing for bankruptcy in October 2023”, the spokespersone continued, “the Volta Management together with the Administrator has been able to find a buyer for the business of Volta Trucks: Luxor Capital, a US based investment group. According to the management, Volta and Luxor are currently in a restructuring process of the company and aim to re-start the serial production in the 2nd half of 2024.
