June is Men’s Health Month. It’s about raising awareness and encouraging men to take charge of their well-being, including their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. 💙 To all women — shift your focus to the men in your life: Your husband Your boyfriend Your son Your grandfather Your father-in-law Your uncle Your godfather Or any other men who are important to you! Tag a man in your life to remind them to get that yearly checkup, that it’s okay to ask for help, and to spread awareness.💙

Another fantastic insight into #recovery from #mentalillness by the amazing Nicky Forsythe founder of TALK FOR HEALTH - the important of being witnessed and believed by those around you when you share about yourself and your #experiences. So often experiences are belittled, dismissed or overlooked by those who may not understand them or ever have lived through something similar. This can lead to people shying away from share of experiences and/or asking for help when they struggle with their #mentalhealth TALK FOR HEALTH we create places and forums where anyone can share what is happening for them be it the #goodstuff when our #wellbeing is high or our struggles when our #mentalhealth is not so great. We believe that everyone is deserving of attention and a place to share regardless of where they are in their #wellbeingjourney. #mentalhealthsupport #recoveryjourney #peersupport #peertopeer

#WorldMentalHealthDay is a great chance to highlight the importance of looking after your mental health everyday. It's a day to share helpful tips on how to navigate your own mental health, as well as supporting others the whole year round. As usual, The Film and TV Charity do amazing things to support people specifically working in the media on their mental health, so we are sharing some tips from them in their post below. We also wanted to share some tips to looking after your own mental health from The Crewing Company: 🌞 Remember that good mental health doesn't mean you have to be happy all the time. It's the ability to accept and navigate through any emotion you are experiencing. 🌝 If you are feeling isolated or lonely, reach out to someone you trust, whether that's friends, family or even organisations such as The Film and TV Charity or Mental Health Foundation 🌄 It's amazing what a walk in nature can do for our mental health, start with a 10 minute walk outside and see what that can bring you. 💙 You are not alone, and talking to others might help you see that the feelings you are experiencing are similar to others - sharing scary thoughts can be a very healing experience. 📝 Plan ahead, and get something in your diary to look forward to...whether that's a trip away, a night at the cinema, a new gym or dance class, or even just a long walk somewhere new. To our TCC Team, TCC freelancers and the wider media community, support is always there, and we can point you in the right direction should you need it - we care deeply about your well-being, and know you don't have to suffer alone x
