David Heath founded his apparel company, Bombas, upon learning that the most requested clothing item in homeless shelters is socks. Bombas’s mission is simple, for every pair of socks you buy, one pair is donated to someone in need. But Dave and his team didn’t stop there—they now also supply the #2 and #3 most-requested items in shelters as well 🩲👕, and have now donated over 100 million items to people facing homelessness. In this episode of the TriNet PeopleForce Podcast with Michael Mendenhall, Dave shares his incredible story of social impact through socks. 🧦🐝 https://lnkd.in/e2CN9d-V #PeopleForcePodcast #TriNetcustomer #Bombas #BombasSocks #SocialImpact #BeeBetter #GivingBack

Socks might seem like a small, everyday item that many of us overlook. Yet for individuals experiencing homelessness and children in need, a clean pair of socks can be a rare luxury. You may wonder -- why are we talking about socks and not about our fluid handling solutions? Because at the heart of our operations is a deep commitment to community—and one of our fundamental company values. In fact, one of our sales managers, Jared, talked with Wichtia's Footprints ICT and implemented a sock drive with our sales team! We hope to donate 500 pairs of socks to those in need. Why are socks important? Footprints ICT shares: - Foot ailments caused by a lack of good socks send more homeless people to the ER than any other reason. - Students have a hard time focusing on school when their feet are cold or wet. - Socks are the most requested item and the least donated. Join our efforts to make a tangible difference for our neighbors who are in need. Are you ready to partner with our compassionate team and fuel the progress in your community? Imagine you're a parent who has just lost their job and home, struggling to provide your children a clean and stable environment. Every day is a battle for survival, and basic necessities like clean clothes become an immense challenge. This is the harsh reality for countless families and individuals experiencing homelessness. Now, think about the impact you can make by donating a washer and dryer to Community LINC. Your generous donation can be a lifeline for those in need, offering many compelling reasons to take action. Clean laundry can give a person dignity and confidence, knowing they are clean and hygienic. Clean clothes can make or break an employment search. Children see clean clothes as a sign of stability and comfort. A laundry set can help save money - no more "disposable" clothes. In summary, donating a washer and dryer to Community LINC is not just an act of kindness; it's a tangible way to empower individuals and families to break free from the cycle of homelessness. Your contribution can restore dignity, improve health, and create opportunities for a better future for those in need. #donate #homeless #shelter #endhomelessness #kansascity #kcmo #instagramkc #igkansascity #philanthropy #dogood #changinglives

Have you ever considered what it’s like to face the relentless Arizona sun without access to clean water? In Phoenix, dehydration isn't just a discomfort; it's a life-threatening issue, especially for our homeless population. Temperatures often soar above 100°F, and without adequate hydration, the risk of severe health complications skyrockets. It’s a silent crisis that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. We often take for granted the simple act of turning on a tap. For some, it’s a luxury they can’t afford. By raising awareness and taking action, we can help ensure that everyone has access to this basic necessity. The Sullivan employees have donated to bring this support to our community. Share your thoughts, experiences, or suggestions in the comments below. Your input could inspire others to take action. hashtag#CommunitySupport hashtag#Homelessness hashtag#WaterIsLife
Our team recently donated 48 cases of water – totaling 1,920 bottles toward the Code Red campaign through the Phoenix Rescue Mission, collecting water to pass out to the homeless community in Phoenix. Phoenix hits record temperatures every summer and can be so dangerous for individuals getting dehydrated. Humans have marked Winter solstice (the longest night of the year) for millenia, looking forward with hope to brighter days. For people doing it tough, a period of homelessness really can be "the longest night". On Winter solstice (20 June) Tessa van Duyn and I will spend a night out in the cold to raise funds for people who are homeless or at risk. Vinnies provides food, clothing and support, but (more importantly) Vinnies provides hope during what can be a dark time. Only three sleeps to go - help us make a difference: https://lnkd.in/ggAAcr2i

Our CEO needs your help to reach her target 😁 Homelessness is real, and we all can make a positive impact. Please share, donate and spread the word - no one should sleep in the cold this winter. Every donation, helps get a homeless person off the street, have access to a hot meal, and programs to help them get back on their feet. Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, we need your support. Will you help our CEO to reach her target? Donating can make a huge difference to people who need it most. Together, we can make a difference! Let's do this! https://lnkd.in/gweVWi6M #homelessness #support #awareness #impact #ceosleepout

It's giving season, How do you contribute to your community and to those who struggle most this time of year? When having a clear out, donating your clothes, make sure to check what projects are in your area to help the homeless. In Bournemouth the Salvation Army have something called the BH1 Project and they find that woman’s clothes aren't donated as much as men’s clothes. They need clothes that are fit for purpose this time of year. I gave 3 lifelong bags full of jeans, jumpers, coats, trainers, and boots earlier this year. Homeless people are still people, and they aren't always treated as such. What can you do to help your community? Society challenges aren't always just for the government to fix but it’s for all of us to get together and show some love and compassion. Appreciate everyone has their own views and you're entitled to your own opinion, but the world needs more people who are willing to help others. Spread some love this season and let’s contribute to real-world impact. Share your story of Just Giving. #givingtuesday #givingseason #salvationarmy #loveandcompassion
